Black Hole with Volumetric Accretion Disk

The black hole can be used in any capacity you can think of, either as a background element or to fly around up close. The skybox around the black hole is distorted due to the gravitational lensing effect and even scene objects can be distorted accurately using a screen space effect. The accretion disk can be fully customized along with options to manage performance and visual quality. To test it out yourself, check out the interactive demo HERE. Every version of unity 6 is supported. Notes: - Choose yourself which layers are affected by the gravitational lensing. The rest of the layers will still have proper occlusion and interaction with the black hole and accretion disk but they are otherwise not distorted. - The screen space effect that distorts scene objects only work for opaque objects that write to the depth buffer. Additionally, these scene objects can only be lit by directional lights, any other type of light will have no effect. - An experimental feature for accretion disk reflections is included, only for HDRP, support for URP might be added in the future. Results may vary between Deferred and Forward rendering, and some artifacts may be visible in certain circumstances. - Ortographic camera projections are not supported. - Has not been tested in VR.
