§ 03About this asset
NavRoute is a navigation extension for Unity that builds on top of the AI Navigation (NavMesh) system. It adds graph-based route planning, weighted Point of Interest (POI) selection, and multiple pathfinding algorithms for NPC movement. The package is designed for developers who need complex NPC behavior — wandering, patrolling, following routes, and interacting with points of interest. It works with any Unity project that uses NavMesh and requires zero configuration to get started. Simply add the RouteWalker component to your NPC and assign a RouteService, and your characters will start navigating along predefined routes with random stops, animations, and weighted POI selection. NavRoute is highly customizable: you can define your own POI priorities, choose from multiple pathfinding algorithms (BFS, DFS, Dijkstra, A*, and bidirectional variants), adjust NPC movement parameters, and extend the system with custom behaviors. The package includes a full demo scene with ready-to-use prefabs and complete documentation. Suitable for any genre that requires intelligent NPC movement: RPGs, open-world games, strategy games, simulations, and adventure games. Works with Built-in, URP, and HDRP render pipelines.
