PIDI: Skin and Character Shaders 4

This is the Individual, Per-Seat version of the asset. It is meant for indies and solo devs. If you are working on a larger team or require multiple seats, please check our Team Edition as it may offer better value for your needs. PIDI : Skin and Character Shaders 4 is the latest version of our skin, translucency & eye rendering solution for Unity WHAT IS INCLUDED The Skin shader offers unparalleled realism and advanced features such as real-time translucency, subsurface scattering, dynamic wrinkles through GPU tension maps, support for HDRP and Universal RP as well as compatibility with all kinds of devices from mobile to high-end desktop. The stylized tranclucency shader adds rim lighting, softer rendering and a simplified workflow ideal for non-realistic and more casual games. The Eye shader brings extra life to your characters with the easiest workflow possible. Little to no textures needed, semi-procedural iris generation and full control over every part of the eye's appearance. PIDI : Skin and Character Shaders 4 is all you need to bring your characters to life. BONUS FEATURES Also included is a copy of the Legacy Built-in shaders from our previous release, Skin and Eye Shaders 3. While these shaders are no longer being updated, they are still provided for projects that are not ready to upgrade to URP / HDRP yet. IMPORTANT NOTICES - This asset is a URP-first asset, meaning that URP is where most new features are tested on and intended for at least initially. HDRP receives ports of most features, except in cases where an equivalent feature is already present as part of the pipeline itself. - Dynamic wrinkles via GPU based tension maps require Vertex Buffer support, not compatible with WebGL. - The models in the screenshots are not included with the asset, they are displayed in the images only for demonstration purposes. Only the head model, the eye models and a copy of the Unity-made Chomper model are included. - In order to take advantage of the advanced features of this asset such as dynamic wrinkles it is necessary to create custom normalmaps and additional textures for your model, which may not always be possible if you use pre-generated or procedural characters from third party tools.
