Requires TextMesh Pro. PRODUCT DETAILS Text Engine is a simple, plug-and-play management and rendering solution for text on the screen. It works for both orthographic and perspective cameras, is efficiently coded and organized, and fully utilizes TextMesh Pro (free, Unity Essentials) for maximum customization of your on-screen text needs. IN THIS VERSION * Feedback Controller. Quickly enable any object in your scene to send text to a player’s HUD in the form of a dynamically generated, decaying message. For example, "You picked up a health pack. +15 life," or, "You can't do that yet!" This product is in stable beta. If you purchase Text Engine now, you get free upgrades for the lifetime of the product. (The price will go up with each new feature update). DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP * Tooltip Controller. Place static text on the player’s screen when some condition is true. For example, when looking at a door, the tooltip might say, “Press [E] to open.” * Ortho Text Controller. Create and manage systems of 2D (orthographic) text anywhere on the screen. Unit health, dialogue, messages, hit indicators--you name it! * 3D Text Controller. Create and manage systems of 3D text anywhere on the screen. Perfect for narrative horror games or perspective-based text feedback.
